Wine Feasts

Wine and food pairing as you have never had it before. Join us for a fantastic feast accompanied by top end wines from the new frontiers of the wine world. Each month our head sommeliers Gergely Barsi Szabo & Ram C. Chhetri hand select an excellent winery from an unusual region or country and collaborate with Head Chef Erion Karaj to create a feast menu to compliment the chosen wines. This is a unique experience with sharing dishes and interaction around the table - informal dining at its best with heroes of new world wines.

A WALK IN THE MAD VINEYARDS - TUESDAY 17 FEBRUARY, 7pm

Szent Tamas winery's main focus is to rediscover the centuries old vineyards in the village of Mad, Tokaj, Hungary - undoubtedly one of the greatest wine producing areas of the world. Working with vineyards that were shaped by volcanic eruptions millions of years ago, their goal is to ensure that the once world renowned Tokaj Crus of MAD will capture the wine world's attention again. Currently they are working with 15 hectares of old wines in 9 different Crus, the MAD Dry Furmint was created to be a benchmark representation of the village of MAD through the collaborative work of the Szent Tamas winery and an ever growing number of small landowners.

The menu will be a sharing feast with three courses with matching wines.

SLOVENIAN What?! - Tuesday 24 March, 7pm

Rediscover wines from the heart of Europe with a seafood feast matched with Slovenia`s finest and most refreshing wines, made by the Puklavec family. The wines are a clever blend of local and international varieties with the Sauvignon Blanc, that is blended with local favourite Furmint, a particular highlight. The dinner is a perfect opportunity to either discover or rediscover a European country with a great wine heritage and a modern approach. The dinner will be hosted by one of the owners, and Joe Wadsack their English wine consultant.

 

Family business: Centuries of Chianti Classico - TUESDAY 21 APRIL, 7PM

The Mazzei family has been in the wine business since 1435 and their perfectly crafted Chianti Classico is one of the most highly regarded of the Tuscan fine wine industry. They also run a winery in Maremma where they produce fanstastic Supertuscan wines. The dinner will be hosted by Giovanni Mazzei as you enjoy sharing dishes perfectly paired with their fantastic Sangiovese based wines.
