Mark Sargeant
Mark Sargeant first worked with Gordon at Aubergine in 1998 before spending three years as Sous Chef at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea from 1998 to 2001. He left there to open the highly acclaimed Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's where he has been Head Chef since 2001, earning a Michelin star in 2002.
Mark trained at West Kent College and worked at several respected restaurants including the role of Chef de Partie at Read's Restaurant in Faversham. Mark is a talented and well respected member of the Gordon Ramsay team who was voted Young Chef of the Year in 1996 and National Chef of the Year in 2002.
Mark is frequently seen alongside Gordon Ramsay in shows such as Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and The F-Word. Mark also led one of the competition kitchens in the first series of Hell’s Kitchen on ITV1 and 2 in May 2004 and more recently, has appeared as a guest on BBC1’s hit series, Saturday Kitchen. Mark also regularly demonstrates at the BBC Good Food shows.
Most recently, Mark has been overseeing the opening of Gordon Ramsay’s pubs, the first of which,The Narrow, opened in March this year to excellent reviews and press coverage.
