Andy Cook Andy Cook

Andy Cook, 31, is the Chef de Cuisine of Gordon Ramsay at The London West Hollywood, where he oversees the restaurant’s Californian-inspired menu as well as banquet catering and en-suite dining offerings for The London West Hollywood hotel.

A native of Birmingham, England, Andy grew up cooking with his family at home, though it wasn’t until graduating from university in the UK that he started cooking professionally. Inspired by a friend who was working for esteemed chef Nico Ladenis at the time, Andy began exploring his interests in a few restaurants in the UK before deciding upon it as his career.

In 2000, Andy joined Gordon Ramsay’s eponymous three Michelin-starred restaurant in Chelsea, London.  The following year, Andy moved to Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s, where he assisted in the opening of the prestigious restaurant and served as sous chef for two and a half years.  He then travelled to Italy where he spent a year cooking in various restaurants, including Gualtiero Marchesi’s celebrated two Michelin-starred restaurant Marchesi just outside of Milan.

In 2005, Andy moved to Tokyo to launch Gordon Ramsay at The Conrad Tokyo as the restaurant’s Chef de Cuisine.  Andy most recently joined the kitchen of the two Michelin-starred Gordon Ramsay at The London in New York, helping to oversee operations at maze, the restaurant’s more informal dining offering.  In early 2008, Andy made the move to Los Angeles to begin heading up the kitchen at Gordon Ramsay at The London West Hollywood.
