Head sommelier Arnaud Bardary was born in Jura, East of France very close to Burgundy. Born into a family of caterers, his first introduction to wine was through his grandfather who owned a small vineyard in the area. Arnaud trained as a sommelier in Toulouse and spent time harvesting in Gaillac where he learnt about all types of wine production. He moved to the exciting ‘hotel du vin in Birmingham’ and after a number of roles became head sommelier at maze in 2011. Arnaud won UK young sommelier of the year in 2012 and predicts Spanish wine will come back onto the market in a big way. He recommends a white wine from Galicia as Albariño Rias Baixas, Tras da Viñas 2010.
Head sommelier Arnaud has opened his cellar to present an incredible opportunity to try his wine of the month at market price.
Chablis 1er cru Montee de Tonnerre, Domaine Raveneau 2005, priced at £95.00
