Randa Assi
It was an easy decision for Gordon Ramsay to promote Randa Assi to the position of Restaurant Director of his first Australian restaurants.
Born and bred in Melbourne’s Sandringham, Randa grew up with a passion for service that she learnt from an early age while working in the family business. A career in hospitality was a natural progression, as Randa loved looking after people. Her determination to learn from the best started at Verge in Melbourne under Simon Denton, before she went overseas to work for some of the world’s best hospitality professionals and experience some of the world’s top restaurants.
Randa has worked with Gordon Ramsay for five years, moving up the ranks fast. Starting as a Head Waiter in 2005, she was appointed Restaurant Manager of maze London in 2008. She also assisted in the opening of two other maze restaurants in New York and Prague, gaining invaluable experience in launching large international operations.
