Diego Cardoso
Diego began his culinary career as chef de partie tournant at the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires in his home country of Argentina. In May 2001 Diego moved to England and began working at The Connaught Hotel. Following the take over of the kitchens at Angela Hartnett at The Connaught, Diego became an integral part of the team in winning a Michelin star and ultimately became Angela’s right hand man and Senior Sous Chef.
After five critically acclaimed years at Angela Hartnett at The Connaught, Diego moved to Florida at Angela’s request and played a crucial role in setting up Angela’s second restaurant Cielo by Angela Hartnett. After a very successful launch, Diego moved to Dubai to work with the team at Verre by Gordon Ramsay.
Upon his return to the UK late in October 2007, Diego joined the Michelin starred kitchens of The Savoy Grill to ensure that the final few months of operation were as successful as the first few and upon the closure of The Savoy Hotel for a multi million pound renovation which will see the launch of The Savoy Grill by Gordon Ramsay in 2009, Diego moved to Versailles to assist in the launch of Gordon Ramsay au Trianon.
Travels for Angela Harnett and Gordon Ramsay over, Diego returned to London following the
successful launch of
Gordon Ramsay au Trianon, to take the helm at Angela’s flagship restaurant,
Murano, where he is Head Chef.
