Recently awarded Chef of The Year in the Good Food Guide 2013, Clare Smyth’s credentials are exemplary and her steep rise to Head Chef at the three Michelin starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is not surprising. Clare’s devotion to her craft and her uncompromising standards, meticulous work ethic are just two of the reasons why she remains the first and only female chef to run a restaurant with this accolade in the UK.
Born in Northern Ireland, Clare moved to England at 16 to learn the skills which would eventually make her a world class chef. On completing her studies Clare’s thirst for knowledge drove her to stage under many influential chefs around the world.
In 2002 Clare joined Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and worked her way up the ranks to become Senior Sous Chef. Clare left London in 2005 to gain experience abroad and joined the kitchen at Alain Ducasse’s renowned Le Louis XV in Monte Carlo. Soon after returning to London and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in 2008 she was promoted to the position of Head Chef.
Maitre d' Jean-Claude Breton initially met Gordon in France and joined him for the opening of Aubergine in London in 1993. Their relationship grew over the years and he is now absorbed in ensuring the utmost care and service for guests dining at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.

Jan Konetzki, Head Sommelier at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay was recently accredited with the prestigious award of UK sommelier of the year 2012. Born in Germany in 1980, Jan trained as a baker, waiter and bartender before discovering his passion and talent for wine. He started his career in Michelin starred restaurants whilst in his native country before going on to complete training and stages in Switzerland and Greece. In 2007 Jan decided to make his mark on the London restaurant scene and joined Gordon Ramsay Holdings. He quickly worked his way to three stars through his time spent at Maze, Maze Grill and Claridge's arriving at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in 2009. In the same year Jan took the Court of Master Sommeliers advanced certificate, which he passed with distinction and won the Riedel trophy for best result in Europe.
